Does anyone have any experience with the Cendyne CD-RW drives? I was thinking of purchasing one for a good price (after rebate)and was wondering if it was worth the money. The drive I was loooking at is the 12x10x32 version, which I have heard is a rebadeged Liteon (which I've heard has Plextor guts). It also supposedly has burnproof. The final price on this would come to about $75US. A good deal, or a poor drive?

    I used a 6x CD-RW. Poor performance.
    1. it runs noisy. compare to 8x DVD ROM (another vendor), which much much quieter.
    2. poor write/read capability. when do CD-copy, read error often. reason: i, buffer issue(RAM size & speed). ii, de-code sofeware issue of read-header(when you do back-up CDs of win98SE, photoshop...). But HP CD-RW (4x)DOES read well to same CDs.
about write, it burns CD. but even itself sometime can't read the CD (burn by itself). I have to read the CD on a TOSHIBA CD-ROM. Ironic!
