I want to save files, what is the best way? Would GHOST be good for this?

I may fdisk my pc and I have a CD-RW.

I have some goofed up files and want to reinstall WINME.I tried to just run it and do an over write thing but it did not work.

There are some things on my desktop I would like to save, for example Mcaffee Virus scan. How can I save just this folder without all kinds of **** and make sure all the important stuff is there? The same goes for everything else I am wanting to save.

    Thanks for advice!

Ghost is good for doing a drive image copy to another. since you have goofed up files like you say, i wouldnt bother. just save your important files, programs, etc. on cd.
i reinstall my programs but you probably can save the program folder of macafee unless of course you have the actual software. if thats the case, just reinstall it from original. id say fdisk and format. thats the way to go. good luck.
