Promise RAID files
Hey Ive read here a while back and on other forums of people who get hung up during boot time on a file called Evian.sys . They end up reformating the whole drive as replacing the file dose not work. Im sure alot of people know this but deleting the file, (evian.sys) allows your computer to get on with its life without a reformat. This happend to me and Im in 2k. I havent tried it on other systems, but I wanted to make sure no one just reformated The location of the file in win2k is :: C:\winnt\system32\DRIVERS

Hey i just reinstalled my RAID card drivers and got the same blue screen with a problem with the Evian.sys file. However just deleting it didnt work. I had to goto the direcotry with the file, and type :: attrib evian.sys - r so i could delete it... seems like it is write protected after you install it your self.
cya all
