Make new partition using FDISK in Windows98 boot disk (be sure to check FAT32 support), then format it.
Best Regards ...

When you answer [Y] to the question "Large Disk Support", the partition will be made FAT32 and answering [N] will make a FAT partition...

It still did not work. When i do that and install windows it says that it does not have enough space.

What does your CMOS see the drive as? If it sees it as the correct size, try another disk utility like Partition Magic though fdisk should do the trick. If you can, remove all partitions and start from scratch.

It says that it is a 13gig hard drive, which it is. Where can I get that program?

You can download and pay for Partion Magic from powerquest.com its about $50.

Did you delete extended Dos partition when you ran fdisk?
Also while you are at it try deleting non Dos partition !
It's worth a try

I deleted my patition many times. When you chose to create the partition what opition do you choose when using format disk? I think I am going to listen to everybody before I format my HD again because I have to load all the Mobo's drivers, video drivers and modem drivers before i get online.
Thanks for your help everybody.

Boot to your startup disk.

Then # 4 enter
read message at bottom of screen
if does not exist then go back to the beginning of fdisk
# 3 enter

If does not exist then go back to the beginning of fdisk

# 2 enter
If does not exist then go back to the

# 1 enter
This will insure that there are no partitions of any kind on the drive!
Go back to the beginning of fdisk

When message appears do you Wish to enable large disk support choose Y
follow instructions
When restart and format your drive appears restart to boot disk same as when you started this, Type fdisk type Y
Choose # 4
This will tell you what size your partition is!!!!
