RAID, how much?
I'm running a "trial version" of Windows 2000 Advanced Server. This thing comes with software RAID and i curently have it running RAID 0, and i love it! My question is, when i buy a raid card, can i use any kind of raid(raid0-5)? Or do i have to buy a certain card for each raid level? How much $? Any replys or help is appreciated!

Hi
You have lots of different RAID cards.
The cheapest are IDE RAID. Some motherboards have RAID controller integrated. They offer RAID0,1 and 0+1.
Adaptec and Promise have also RAID5 IDE controllers, but they are more expensive.
The most expensive RAID controllers are SCSI. You usually find them in servers. They offer RAID0,1,5 and 0+1.
