Splitting a large file...
I have a file that is about a gig in size and I want to move it. Unfortunately, I can't think of a way to transfer it over the 'net. I think the second easiest way would be to split it into 4 250 Meg files and store them on some Zip disks I already have (both computers have zip drives, too). Then I could re-assemble the file at the destination. Is this possible? If so, how or what program would I need. Perhaps I could use WinZip to "span disk" it across the disks. I know I could do that with regular floppy disks, but would that work with Zip disks? Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I'll try Winzip first then HJSplit if that doesn't work.
