Wow, haven;t seen a black one. The Philips CD-RW drives are color coordinated to go witha black case (black and gold), but they are mostly gold.

Here is a linkt hat may help. Please be sure t cross reference any online company at the free database at www.resellerratings.com

i get most of my parts (i have a black box purchased from these guys along with misc. black parts)from

    http://www.directron.com

    they have cd,cdrw,dvd,floppy,faceplates,mice,keyboards,speak ers,etc.
all in black, lookslike they are just showing pix of the boxes for the cdrw's you might drop them a line and ask for a pic..

you could always do what i did(though it will void your warranty) take off the front of any cdrw drive you want, and spraypaint it black. i did this to my drives(all of them) and i painted my case too. this way i could get the parts i wanted, in the color i wanted.

My old work used to do what falcompsx suggested for point of sale systems so it would fit in better with the shops decore - hairdress, coffee shops etc. I guess these days you could by the items already coloured but at the time it was effective. At present I'm not sure of the type of paint they used but the job looked great and didnt scratch off like I thought it would (normal wear & tear that is).

    What i did was this:

Just take out the black baycovers the blank ones. Take off the tabs on the sides where they connect to the sides. And then get some of those stoppers that are on the bottom of things you know the rubbery kind. Put those on you eject button. ( this helps in the future.)
And super glue the black cover on the CD drive tray. It is SweeT! No one has any Idea what i have then I can either eject within windows or just push on the side with those rubber feet on the eject button and pop! the blank opens up to a nice CDR drive.
I had to paint my 3.5 floppy though.
