Can't get ULTRA66 to work....
I have purchased an EPOX EP-DRO2P3 Ultra DMA100 Dual Channel Raid controller card and I can’t get the system to run at ultra66. I have two 40GB Sansung (SV4084H) harddrives (which are Ultra100) on the controller now and they both configured as masters, one on each channel, as ordinary IDE drives. When the system booths and the bios is loaded for the controller card “this system is not PCI-66” comes up on the screen. I am lost as to how I can get this up and running. I also have a Fujitsu 13GB(MPE3136AT) and 20GB(MPF3204AT) on the MB channel one.
The equipment:
EPOX 8KTA2 Motherboard
256-PC100 RAM
ATI All-In-One AGP Video Card
(Harddrives as motioned above)
Things that I have tried……..
1. Downloaded UDMA program from Samsung web site, but when I run this program it does not recognize the Harddrives on the Raid controller, only the ones on the MB IDE channels, and says they are incompatible.
2. Downloaded UDMA program from Fujitsu web site and tried to make the drives attached to the MB run at ULTRA66 but when this program is run “Unexpected hard drive attached to ATA” message comes up with “MPE3136AT” on the next line.
3. Checked in device manager and under Harddrives it list the drives on the MB as “Generic47” and the ones on the Raid Controllers as “Samsung SV4084H”. The drives on the MB have DMA checked, but the drives on the Raid Controller does not give that option.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Don't know if this will work for you, but, I just built an MSI KT266 PRO RAID system. I was having the same problem you are. By accident I disconnected the regular IDE connections. Now only the RAID Drives were connected and now they were recognized by BIOS. Things went fine after that. The matched hard drives were set up in the RAID configuration of my choice. Then the regular IDE channels worked as the normally do.
