    HDD overlay software

How large a HDD can a new Award BIOS "see"
before I have to resort to overlay software?
    (Specifically an Asus A7M266 mobo).
    Thanks.

I would say big enough that you don't have to worry about it..(i.e. <80 gig)
newer mobos, and bios don't seem to have any of the old limitations(2gig, 8gig, etc)

Thanks, the 61.4GB IBM partitioned and formatted fine, but why during this time did
    I only have,(from the outset,before P&F),
    58,994MB to "manipulate"?
I can see losing some MB's due to formatting, etc.,but losing 1.4GB seems
    excessive.
    Thanks for your input.

The reduced drive capacity is perfectly normal.
