Drive Copy is cheaper and just as effective, also by PowerQuest. I use it to copy NTFS drives often.

I've used ghost in the past, but it is slightly complicated. I do like that it does just partitions.(I can back up my winpartition, but have all big stuff on a different one.)
Does those other two do partitions? If so, I might have to switch. Also do they run in windows or dos? Ghost does both.(windows barely though)

Ok so i managed to copy my windows 2k drive over to where i wanted it.

I put it on my second hard disk on the raid, the first drive contains windows 98se. When i change the bios to boot to the raid controller the dual boot screen doesnt come up at all, i thought it should seeing as one drive is win2k and the other is win98 on the raid, am i missing something or am i supposed to switch to another drive to boot from?

    Raid goes like this:

    Primary:
    Master: Win98Se
    Slave: None
    Secondary:
    Master: Win2k
    Slave: None

How do i set it up to get a dual boot screen

or does someone want to tell me how to sort this right from scratch?
Are there any "How to's" on dual booting at all?

    Thanks

    Rich

What you need to do is edit the boot.ini file and add the line to specify where your 2nd boot os is, take a look at boot.ini you'll figure it out, refernce the windows 2000 line and copy it and change the necessary lines

    Hard Drive copy programs?

I need to copy one of my hard drives to another drive (which has a bigger capacity) but im not sure which program to use.

Both the drives are NTFS but i dont know of any dos program which would be able to copy all the contents of one hard drive to another. I tried norton ghost but didnt get anywhere

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Thanks

what do i put in the boot.ini file to make win2k recognise win98

both win2k and win98 are on raid
win2k is on a drive with ntfs
    win98 is on a drive with fat32

in win2k the win2k drive is seen as drive C:\ and the win98 drive is seen as drive H:\

    ive tried adding the line:
    H:\ = "Microsoft Windows 98"
with some variations but to no avail

no idea what else i can try

    any help greatly appreciated thanks

    Richard
