    ata 66 cd and dvd roms

    I think i saw somewhere that the new pioneer 16x dvd was up to ata 66 transfer speed. Is that true?

    Yes and no, they use the ATA-66 interface and will theoretically burst (from cache) at 66 MB/s but they wont sustain 66MB/s.
