How Do You Get Rid of Tray Icons?
I have some tray icons that are basically useless and just taking up space. How do I get rid of them?
-
Some of them are loaded by items in your startup menu/directory. If you have Corel Suite, one startup item will load about 9 icons. What do you have?

Isos, I would like to get rid of the Windows Task Scheduler, McAfee VirusScan Scheduler, and an an icon for a Greeting Card program (Creata Card Plus 3. I would like to get rid of the audio mixer too since I'll rarely if ever fool around with it but I don't see how else I can get to it if I need to.
I don't see any easy way to get rid of any of them.

I take it you have Win98 if you have task scheduler. Type in MSCONFIG in your run menu and once MSCONFIG comes up, hit the startup tab and uncheck scheduling agent. This will get rid of the tray icon and disable it. I don't know how to get rid of the icon without disabling it.

Have you tried the right mouse button on these icons. See if there's a property, option or close. Some will ask you if you wish to unload the program from your start up files.
