Reverse could be anywhere, don't know about Skylines, but mine is to the left of 1st, with a lift-ring to make sure you don't go there by mistake
Just got one of these, but in Burgundy rather than yellow

hehe yeah, it's a Renault Mégane Coupé.
It's a "sport" version of the regular saloon version, 2+2 seats, 1598cc 90bhp, low insurance group and 40mpg, which is useful with British petrol prices.
Only picked it up Saturday and a new air filter and strut brace are already on the shopping list
They use the 2000cc version for rallying!

Jacob,
Q. How do you drive a right hand car!
A. Fast! Of course!
H-pattern shifts are generally the same in any market LHD/RHD, the actual pattern depends on the manufacturer.
In Australia we get lots of yankee and european stuff where the column stalks and shift levers are on the wrong side, handbrakes and auto gear indicators on the wrong side etc etc.
Japan's home market is RHD, hence we in Aus got lots of their early car making attempts in the '60's.
Nissan 'Cedrics' and 'Bluebirds', Mazda 'Bongo' vans [rear engine air cool, used catch fire a lot] early Toyota Coronas.
****boxes, most of them.
The Japanese makers succeeded here by offering a cheap car with a decent radio in it!
Mind the reputation of the Toyota LandCruiser was built here, it is still a top seller, you wont go poor with a Toyota franchise.
Skylines? Bah. There,s much more tasty stuff than that out there.
I'm no GM fan, but try this www.hsv.com.au
Cheers R.

The trannies are the same, so the pattern is the same

Skylines are quite common in Japan. A friend of mine has an older GTS with the inline six. It's not the hottest model, but the thing will still move. It's an auto, BTW.
Rusty--you didn't mention the Toyota Sprinter!! That's what I drive. It's not a high dollar car, but it does the job. They sell them as Corollas in the States.
And yes, the shift pattern is exactly the same as on American cars. What got me is that the turn signal is on the right side of the column and the wiper controls are on the left. A Japanese guy told me "You can tell when American driver going to turn, windsheild wiper come on!"

nismo 400rs have 400 horsepower and regular skyline gtrs have about 350 plus motorex the company that sells them here in the us sells kits that take them up to 500 horse power, if i ever had enough money extra, about 100,000 dollars, this would be my little baby

Thud. That's what I've always wondered about. Thanks for the answer.

Someone here at my school has a light grey Skyline. I usually see it parked in a reserved spot when I'm walking to class. Once, I saw him stopped at a red, and when it hit green, I didn't see him any more .
I really don't like too many imports, but this is definitely one sweet machine. Hey Jacob, you didn't happen to find out about the skylines from Gran Turismo, did you? That's where I first heard of them .
