Survivor TV show finale...
Did it turn out the way you thought it would???
I watched a few of the episodes, I only have interest in a few TV programs but it was a compelling show...Im pretty sure it was the top rated show of this season...Your thoughts???

I enjoyed all 3 hours of it thoroughly.

I enjoyed watching it. Was great to see Bryant Gumball make an ***** out of Jerri. I thought Colby kind of got ripped although Tina was well deserving.

The rules state that the contestants can't enter into any financial sharing agreements, but maybe that's what Tina and Colby did.. That would make good sense, i.e. " lets work together to get us to be the final two, and we'll split the dough", or something. Otherwise, it's weird that he chose Tina, because he kept talking about how much he wanted to win (I thought), etc. Maybe his competitive nature wouldn't allow him to take the easy way out by choosing Keith, I dunno.
I only watched a few episodes of both but I agree that 2 was better than 1.

The only good show thats been on TV lately is the Sopranos. Now thats good TV. Most everything else sucks. Or should I say is not as good. Somebody want to buy me a wide screen High Definition TV?

Thank you for giving us an excellent example of what Thread Crapping really is.
Anyways....
Colby will have LOTS of opportunities with tv shows, movies possibly, etc., etc. He is a genuine, one-of-a-kind guy that I wish I could meet. Tina could also since she was the winner...but I somehow think that she doesn't want that much of the limelight.
I hope that we do see much more of these people. S1 peps dropped off the face of the earth a few months after the show finished. There was that girl in the lame Blistex commericial..."Wow!"..hahaha. Richard Hatch was seen on the MTV VMAs in Sept. and maybe some major events afterwords (can't remember, it was so insignificant). Last I heard of him was a brief mentioning of him at the Super Bowl. Although, the Blistex girl is rumored to be in a movie soon....but all those on S1 people sucked, IMHO.
The S2 peps have a lot of potential. I look forward to S3
Any bets on where it will be? I say S. America or Africa. Asia is a little too....ehhh "boring" for the show (dunno how else to put it). The desert is too anti-human (no Sahara ). I think Africa has the strongest chance over S.A. because it is completely different, whereas S.A. is more jungle, similar to Survivor 1. Something like the African savannah.

Could you believe Jerri's question for Tina and Colby at the Tribal Council thing? What a crock. I don't think I've seen a more self centered person in some time. At least their responses were very fitting (i.e.- bringing up the "beef jerky" and Colby saying that he had no regrets. Clearly Jerri wanted them to apologize to her.

Yeah, I know, Scott, that was quite pathetic of Jerri. haha "regrets", they both gave good answers.
I have to admit, this Survivor was a 100 times better than the last. Survivor 1 promoted lieing, cheating and no friendship at all. That is why I boycotted #2 at the beginning. Soon, I watched a couple of episodes and realized that the producers had chosen (mostly) good people to change the scope of the show. As was seen at the end, the final two contestants were practically best friends.
What I'm wondering is, why did Kolby select Tina as the person to be in the top 2 with him? He could have won the game with Keith as his competitor, IMO. Maybe he thought she needed the money more? or knew that she really, really wanted to be in the final 2? In either case, that was extremely generous of him.
I was quite impressed with Survivor 2. If you read my comments in the first thread about this show, you can see that I was dead set against it. Instead of showing the worst traits of humans, this show ended up showing the best.
Thumbs up to the producers on a job well done

warthog, I guess whiskey and soda and Gen community forums don't mix. I sorry if I offended an ultimate member. Seemed funny last night. I still don't understand the sarcasm from you but I just won't respond anymore, at least light heartedly. My appologies.
