Yeah only 135 tons of material is going to splash down I wonder how the Russian scientists can be so sure it is going to reach the ocean, wouldn't weather conditions have an effect on its landing pt?

I would think the tiny stuff that could be effected by winds would burn up on the way down, but the kenetic energy of the big stuff is so large, its gonna go where it was pointed so long as the rockets fire it into correct position. They said that the solar panels might make down pretty much intact if they break off before burning completley up.
Reason for that is they are light(relativley speaking) and would be like a leaf falling from a tree.
I myself hope someone gets it on film, It would be cool to see!
Imagine this, a chunk of metal that weighs several tons hitting the ocean at around 16,000~17,000 mph... KA-BOOM! I wanna see the splash that sucker makes! not to mention the sonic booms...

Kinda like that Yahoo commercial with the satellite that's "expected to crash into Quasi, an uninhabited area of the Australian outback."
