I knew i shouldn't have surfed the web

i was bored so i started innocently surfing the web looking for bits and bobs. ended up at www.overclockers.co.uk and now have an incredible urge to go and spend some money on a new system which i can definitly not afford.
I think i should go and find a dark room to sit in for a while so that i can calm down and try to forget all the lovely things i have seen.

    True!
but surely that would hurt as much as giving away your first born child!!!
I'm just going to have to wait till i get some cash. At least then the market shuld have moved on and who knows what exciting gadgets lie just around the corner.
thanks for the sympathy tho', this dark room is getting a bit lonely!

Hey, check out http://www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk it's a competitor to OCUK.

A lot of peeps have come from OCUK to OCS 'cos they were p*ssed off with OCUK's customer (dis)service. I only ordered one thing from them once and I didn't have any probs, but hearing stories of threads on their BBS being deleted 'cos someone had bad service is not on in my book.

If you are a shop and run a BBS with a 4rum entitled 'service comments' you should be able to take the rough with the smooth. OCS do and do, OCUK used to but I think they've stopped and whenever someone posts 'you've screwed my order up, etc.' the post seems to disappear. OCS in also down the road from me (Sheffield - yeah commuting to Leeds is a tw@), so it's not far to sort any probs out.

OCS's BBS is good fun - prolly a bit more close-knit coming from an ickle diddy country an' all

Fraid I'm in the same situation.... I'm itching to try a VP6 + dual overclocked CC0 700Es, but I'm having a new shower put in and that's costing a bleedin'4tune! (but I need the power for DivX encoding, honest... )

Ahhh..... reaches for the debt card

(they're not credit cards, they're debt cards - use them and you are in debt, not credit....)

Thanks krusty! but i don't think i really need anymore encouragement to part with my overdraft. knowing there is a good store only a few miles away is just too much temptation. I'm going to give my bank manager your email address and blame all future purchases on you!
