    there other naspter programs out there. goto www.download.com and type in napster. it will bring up other programs for file sharing. or you can go back to old school way IRC.

    Yep- agree with JaYsin on this one, just read some followup about a company sueing Napster as well as monitoring it. My dad has this theory that Napster is a coverup for the FBI's carnivore, but it is just a theory. In any case, Napster will eventually have to start to charge- and that will mark the beginning of the end on the no-tax internet

    yes , napster still is free, BUT
    it was reported on national public radio
    (NPR) that napster cut a deal with a
    big music corp (maybe BMI, not sure)
    to pay royalties to it. As a result, napster is planning a $4.95/month fee. Correct me
    if im wrong! =)

    i guess i would have to say newsgroups even though i have little experience with them, but for napster they cant shut down all the servers you can pick from www.napigator.com

    Just read in US News that Napster will soon be having a pay per month fee and you will only be able to dl music from ********* record company (begins with a "b").
