    Bye!

I'm done in the community forum, until this election is over, and then some.

Some of you can't take a hint, and put ALL POLITICAL POSTS in ONE thread. Every news broadcast or any opinion you come up with, you seem to think deserves an entirely different thread. Some are much worse than others, but I won't list names.

    Later dude,
I am not really into politics myself, so I just don't click on those threads.

There's no way to have politics NOT in topic right now.

Continuing it all in a single post is absurd.

We are making history with this election. It is likely a revision to some voting legislation will result.

Whether we go in the books as having done good or bad, we ARE part of it right now.

    I just cant ignore that.

    Bye Brandon184!

    ( until later )

I too was critical of all the new political threads being started, but I think this is a bit of an over-reaction.

The first 2 or 3 days, there were like 25-30 new threads started on the election. Since then, there has been a steady decline in new politically motivated threads.

By my count there were 3 threads started on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday, 2 on Friday, and 1 today (2 if you count the one by e.q.rights about the black-eye Florida is recieving). In light of how fast things change and topics that were issues last week are now irrelevant, I hardly think 1-2 per day is out of line. This is just my opinion however.

I maintain my position, barring any new revelations, we should try to post our message(s) in the most appropriate existing thread.

Posting at a rate like this, and because small events have occured, in this (I admit) huge election, is like buying a brand new car each time you have to run to the corner store to get a carton of milk. Especially since a lot of these are just wasting space by getting 2 or 3 replies and then being sent to the bottom of the line. It isn't like the rest of the threads are getting backup up with even 3 pages of posts that you are forced to create a new one.

    Think about it.

I'm not specifically saying keep every political post in one single solitary thread, but as I said above - you are creating new threads for every tiny event or opinion that pops into your head. Keeping a limited number of posts so that the rest of the forum can resume is NOT absurd, and is more than sufficient.

A mind blowing number of things have made history, they didn't overtake an entire forum, especially when that is unneeded.

I mean, I have and am following the election. But to a point! This will definately change future elections, but that's that. Saying it over and over isn't going to make more/less important.

Plus, a lot of it is garbage. People stating opinions over and over, trying to see who is right or wrong in their opinions (Either Everyone or No one is, BTW..).

Now... Do not tell me I am incorrect in thinking so, because my ideas on this are rock solid and will not influenced by anyone here.

I am now finished. There is no point in replying, as I will not probably see this thread, as I said, until the election is over with and then some.

    Good day!

I feel very upset, that my genuine and innocent post should have provoked such responses and such reactions to them.
We all make jokes about things that are non 'pc' and most people don't take offence. I must admit that some of the replies I got meant nothing to me at all, and seemed innocuous, even so Brandon, at least took exception. I myself would be considered by most to be fairly liberal, but I suspect Brandon might find me to be right wing.

Posters to this forum must exercise caution in what they say, and how they say it, and readers must show tolerance, for both must realise that others may not share their opinions. We are all different, thats a good thing.
