I HATE STUPID IDIOTS!
*&*&&* IDIOTS at AT&T!
My cable modem has been down for almost 2 days now! The IDIOTS at AT&T were SOLELY responsible, and didn't even acknowledge it!
What happened is I was having modem problems, they came out and replaced the LANCITY for a Toshiba...worked great for 2 or 3 days...UNTIL:
AN IDIOT AT AT&T DE-PROVISIONED IT!
All the other IDIOTS on teh tech line were convinced it was an RF cable problem and would not get a tech until NEXT WEDNESDAY!
I finally found someone else with a cable modem, hooked it up and it worked fine! I thought I had a bad modem, called up and found out a STUPID IDIOT at AT&T was checking accounts, and found the old modem registered to my account, and instead of finding out if it was replaced, de-provisioned my NEW modem!
After about 6 phone calls to tech...finally I got ONE GUY with a BRAIN! who fixed it in less than 1 minute!
MAN! I don't know whether to be pissed it happened or happy it actually works!
I think I relayed the unhappiness I had well enough..they gave me a free month and the promotional price of $19.99 a month til April afterward....
JUST ERKS ME!

i know what ya mean.... its just flat out stupid ....but id be glad it works and if ya call in again pray that you dont get the same guy who got you first for the modem support...hehe
I gave A T & T the heave ho a while back!!! Just got a FINAL notice bill almost six months after having to cancel my long distance service no less than 5 times before they got it right. Don't believe it's fair to call them idiots because of their ignorance!!

I would call them stupid idiots because the one who did it must have known...I mean, he's looking at a live connection to a modem he does not have registered...you would think he would look it up before just disconnecting it? I mean one of HIS workers had to provision it just to get it to work at all! And even then, he pulled my MAC out of the database also! Meaning, he had record of who I was, my address and all...it would not have been very inconvienent to simply look at the work log to see I was given a replacement modem! No, the idiot pulls the plug and doesn't tell anyone and doesn't ask any questions!
To me, thats a stupid idiot who does not care about customer service or satisfaction. That idiot should not have that job...just because of his attitude, because I know why he did what he did...and he knows I do too! What he did he did to pruposely frustrate teh customer...and I bet I'm not the only one he has screwed with.
He's lucky I don't know his boss.
And the stupid little B___H who refused any help...then put me on hold until I hung up when I told her to let me speak to her supervisor... let me tell you, If I knew her boss...she'd be right next to the other guy in the unemployment line.
One thing I do not tolerate is people purposely pissing off my customers...they'd be gone!
you guys don't know how lucky you are! at least you can talk to real people! have you ever tried to calltech support for Southwestern Cable in Southern Cal? i've never been able to talk to a real person. you just have to leave a message and hope they call you back. i tried every menu option.

i had a similar experience with cable modems just a few days ago. i have 3 computers networked at home and everything was going fine till one day the modem takes too long to initialize. so they came over and just changed the **** thing. so everything was ok right and i figured i'll try to surf on each computer and it worked (individually). at night, i was surfing and my sister just went to me and said how come she cant surf and i realized that only one computer could surf at any one time. i called 24 hour tech support and they just said "this is a very uncommon situation we'll send a guy the next day to figure it out." when the service dude came, he went to all the computers to verify that only one can go online at any one time and called homebase and asked how many ip's were enabled for my accout. answer he got was a stupid f***ing 1!!! the idiot who installed the cable modem forgot to mention that i have 3 computers at home!!! after the phone call everything was fine. IDIOTS I swear!!!
