Unhappy SysOpt ICQ Active list; where are our users?

So far the activelist has been more of a failure for brandon184 and I. Not much participation from users here at SysOpt, may of whom have ICQ and don't bother to use it. I see users that are on the SysOpt ICQ Activelist posting topics and stuff here at SysOpt, but they never even bother to log on to the ICQ Activelist. This really steams me, we have been working so hard to get this thing up. Socalgal recognized this when we first got the list up. yet, even now it is falling apart due to inactive users. i hope to see more current users active and more users period. Lately we lost 4 members all together. I really hope the situation improves from it's current state. i'd really hate to see this activelist be shut-down.

    hehe.. Yes. Join the ActiveList..

A lot of people think that it takes away from the forum, and we were also worried about that at first.. But that does not seem to be the case with this. The active users on the list are just as active on the forum, as they were before the joined.

    Talking

    I'm there every night!!!

But since my midnight is about in the afternoon for you guys, I ussually only get to talk 3 hours, 4 at the most, to people who are then online too.

But trust me, I make good use of it, it is pretty darn handy I must say.

BTW, about only 5 members being active, you should remember that a lot of the members turn in to offline instead of n/a when they go to bed.
So do I, why should I keep on n/a, then you'd think I'd be back in an hour or 2

I would be happy to join if I knew where I could get ICQ. Links anyone? I'm not really a chatty type (think it's a waste of time - that's why I didn't join in first place) but I'll give this a shot.

Ultima: let me rephrase that, around 5 members active at a time.

I guess you are right Flash4master,

I indeed never saw more then 5, 7 at most at a time at the active list.
A shame though, I really like talking to the guys and if there are any on the list, gals, it is a lot easier then posting.

For the quick questions that is.
For big problems I always post, the active list is, as said many times, not a replacement for the board, never could be for that matter.

    Thumbs up

I joined it when it was first activated. How come nobody uses the chat room? Isn't that what this activelist thing is about or what?

ITs been in beta since the first day ICQ was released by Mirabilis. Its so they can cover their *** if they want to charge for it, or in case something horrible happens to your computer. I am on it right now, and don't see anyone logged on ;-)
