    Thumbs down Drinking is bad!!!

My old man is still on it.
He told me he would quit but he kept lying
It make me sick that when we need to go somewhere he can't drive because he's drunk
    How can I tell?
I smell beer right from him and it is not very pleasant...
Yes he a completely changed person and start whining about lot of dumb thing such as don't
do this, talking off the top of his head.
I haven't a clue where he is coming from.

This is not the first time you have brought this up.

Your father is most likely an alcoholic and there is nothing you could do about it. He will quite when he is ready and only then.

You best bet is to go to http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/ do some reading and ask for help.

I wish you the best of luck dealing with it.

    BTW how old are you?

Win I am sorry about your dad but it doesnt look like you will get much sympathy here....and the admin has mentioned before (a long time ago) this isnt an AA meeting at sysopt...so I would take Jad's advice and go to that site for starters.

I'm sorry to hear of the trials your currently going thru Win_98. Since I'm not a shrink or doctor I too will suggest that you follow the sound advise that Jad1097 offered.

I will now close this thread.
