I'm just waiting for his scanned subpoena to show up. If he's really good, it will even look like the real deal. Maybe the "Intel finders fee" will pay for for his own website so he won't have to get other people to post his pics too.

also as he stated it has 400Mhz fsb and a multiplyer of 14, and umm... simple math puts that at 5.6GHz
not to mention that he said it was unstable at 1.8GHz and is currently running at 800MHz

I did go through the 13 pages of his saga. I don't know WHY I did, but, there ya go.

I can believe he got a pre-release ES board, CPU and memory. What I cannot believe is that he obtained it through any legal means, or will benefit in any way from it.

I can just as easily believe that this has been a hoax from the start, and he and his buddies are laughing themselves silly over all those they got to fall for it.

Forgive me for questioning the reliability of Pikachu's claims: some of what he said at the beginning metamorphosed rather quickly.

What, most of all, I think I came away with after reading 497 posts is: I've never really liked the generally immature air that prevails at most boards.

I like truth, being informed, coming away knowing more than I did before I logged on. All I know from this little story is that someone can generate a lot of stir, maybe a little local fame, by claiming a first, real or no.

But I guess I'll just hafta wait to eBay this ol' Itanium mobo (at least until I find that driver disk for my webcam, lol...).
