    Angry See Dateline on Tues?

Maybe Tuesday was for Canada, not sure if it was on down south that night. It was about the fiasco in Central Park, NY and few days before. Dayklight hours while some parade was going on in the area. Thousands of people milling around. Crowds of young men were randomly attacking women, soaking them, stripping them, groping, etc.

The cops didnt break it up until 30 or so women had been attacked. A French tourist was stripped maked by a mob while her hubby tried to protect her. I bet they'll be going back to the USA real soon...not.

What's with that sh*t? Are we men simply pigs who can't control our hormones and figure that any woman in tight clothes is asking to be attacked and groped?

It made me ashamed of my gender to watch that story. And happy I'm up here and not in NY.

I think one word probably sums up that fiasco: alcohol.

I hate to even utter these words, since 90% of the world has such thin skin and is ready to scream racism, but...

I am in complete agreement with that jogger they had on there in the beginning; the one who said that he believed that the NYPD was told to (or did it on their own) ease up because it was a Puerto Rican parade. If they had handed out citations as normal, the Puerto Rican (not to mention every other "minority" community) would have been in an uproar. Jesse Jackson and Farrakhan (sp?) would have been all over the city of NY becuase of number of blacks in the crowd that was assaulting the women.

I felt so sorry for that poor couple from France, here on their honeymoon. She got thrown down and stripped completely naked while her husbansd tried to get her out of there. I'd never come back to the US if I were them.

Lets just say, that if it had been my girl who was on TV almost getting raped, there would have been some fingers missing and blood splattering on the camera lens.

I always carry a folding, locking knife that has a 4" blade with me at all times. Yes, I probably would've gotten hurt too. But I sure wouldn't go down without one hell of a fight.

totally corrcct, this has been admitted, other parades. total control, zero tolerance, no problems.
the same goes for the recent Lakers mess.
warthog, you would be dead, dont you think these punks pack heat a bit heavyer than your blade

Scum is scum, it does not have nationality or color. Did you see what happened, I do not remember where, with those English soccer fans? A lot of them were thrown out of the country for rioting.
This just happened at a Puerto Rican day parade but some of the participants where not Puerto Rican.
Oh, if you are wondering, I am not Puerto Rican so that is not my motive to write this.

Warthog, I understand what you are saying, since I myself also carried a 600 dollar CQC6 folding knife(thats the kind of stuff my money went to dad) around, trying to be the biggest, baddest dude. But then I realized that no matter how big or bad I get, there is always someone bigger and better. Not saying that I would chicken out of a fight, but I've gotten as well as I've given (anyone notice how the smallest guy in the group usually starts all the mess?). Anyways, defending yourself is fine, but a better alternative is not placing yourself in the situation in the first place.
Warthog, you are 16 now, when punishment is usually a slap on the wrist... When you get older, punishment tends to multiply considerably...

Even worse than the people that did the attacking are the people that stood back and did nothing to help those being attacked! To me, anyone that turns their back on a person in need of help are the lowest form of scum. I would not have just stood by and done nothing. I'm afraid I'd have been killed trying to help those in need.

    Well...I'm not too small - 6' 3-4" or so.

I know what you mean, though. I'm not a fighter, but I would help defend any female who was getting attacked no matter what the circumstances. I'm aware of the consequences of doing so. It wouldn't matter to me.

Tantone, you are totally correct. Thats exactly why the police didnt do anything becuase, they would praobally end up getting sued.

Mgordan, once again more stupidity from you. Yea your right, alchol is an excuse for doing that! Boy that pisses me off when people try to use alchol and drugs as an excuse for doing something.

AS of what you said Warthog, im a pretty small guy, and not to built either, but ive always been taught to stand up for those who need it, dont start a fight, but always finish one etc. If that was my wife, you know I would die protecting her, and if I was just watching girls get groped you know I would be defending them. This is disgusting!

Where in the HELL did you get the idea that I was making excuses for those useless idiot perpetrators? I was merely stating that alcohol was a contributing factor in what happened. I think the bastards should be castrated OK?

OK, I'm stupid, if that makes you feel bigger and better than me. But you can't even spell my name right with it on the screen in front of you! Not to mention that stupid people often jump to conclusions and make fictitious accusations.

I also carry something of the same type of folding knife..

I agree totally with your first post.

If I were there, and it got bad enough for me to get badly injured, there'd be hell to pay..

If I had to watch my girlfriend get raped, there'd be even MORE hell to pay..

I wouldn't care of the size of the person, nor the crime, there would be deaths. Whether it be on scene or afterwards in a reprecussive matter.

Junky.. I wouldn't even be afraid of getting killed. I'd just go in there, and be so full of adrenaline and do what I needed to do to at least help ONE person.
