basing from all the answers, almost everyone is willing to defend thier own country and it is very natural, it's like defending your home.

Like I said in Dex's other post, Im with Narayan, pick sides and fight. Boy it would be hard though. Although I think that I would get to meet Narayan and Warthog, since we seem to see eye to eye on alot of things.

If the sides are so clear cut on who is right and who is wrong there would be no reason to fight, but whos to say which side would be right? The south had its reasons for seceding here in the US (no, not slavery, but basic states rights).

Let me tell you just one story (among thousands) from the “civil war “ in former Yugoslavia.
Two brothers. They lived happily together in one small town (Zenica) with their parents.
The mother was Catholic/Croat, the father was a Muslim/Bosnian. One brother went with the Croats, the second went with the Muslims. Both of them are dead/killed. Their mother is now in Zagreb (Capital of the Croatia), the father is in Sarajevo (Capital of the Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The war is over.
Those who started the war, they live a happy family life.
About 50.000 dead and 300.000 invalids just because someone thinks their background (history) is superior.

And a small correction for one of the posts above. Hitler’s army (Wermacht and SS) killed among others (total is 25 million in Europe.) about 6 million Jews.

Frankly, there is a conflict going on here, but its not a civil war. its between the govt. and muslim rebels and other rebels. Actually 2 terrorist groups, 2 muslim rebel groups, and another 2 other groups. And these groups have thier own camps and and composed of thousands, 2 having over 20,000 soldiers w/ high powered weapons, according to some. But personally i'm not in favor of the conflicts, except with the terrorist groups.

Since I'm not from the states, i guess we'll not see each other then.
