how the hell does so many undesirable people get my hotmail email adress

i am sick and tyred of all the undesirable people getting hold of my email adress.
i currently have aprox 128 blocked senders in my hotmail email account.
what gives here, i mean were do these people get off constantly sending me bl&#dy Cr#p like this every day. I mean i get about 3 to 5 new ones each day. some include free XXX and you know what else.
is any body else experiencing this.
Iv just about had enough of this filth and i am contemplating the download of some of those email bombing programs that are out there and replying to them with that.
does anybody else get this kind of treatment from hotmail.
are you sick of cleaning out pages of sh#t emails cause i sure am.

yeah... one of my hotmail accounts has the same. except i have over 1K in block senders. it's just so fricken ridiculous.

the funny thing, though, is that i have two other accounts that don't get ANY junk mail at all, yet my main one gets about 5 or so per day.

i've contemplated doing the same thing, too, mong_2, at times. unfortunately, they really don't care, so it'd be a completely futile effort.

i've contacted hotmail about it, but they never responded (to any of my approxamately 20 emails). i don't get that, either.

hmmmm..... just something to ponder upon and think what there is to be done.

I have contacted the BBB and they seem to be willing to handle it if you do a bit of the leg work. I had one spamer mail me daily with a phone # that I turned in to the BBB along with the info I found from the #.

I recall having a hotmail account, which got and still does (although I don't use it - I'll check it every now and then for people who don't have my new one) get...

My hotmail addy is the one I give out if I have to get out a valid email addy that I know is going to be spammed. I just visit the web based interface and delete everything that doesnt look like I need it

I think you can avoid this to a degree as this used to happen to me,not so much the XXX stuff,just general ****!!What i found is that when you sign up on-line for whatever,99%of the time at the end of your application there is a list of pre-checked boxes that if left checked will sign you up for whatever the offer is....Uncheck them if you are not interested.Honestly,this may not be the definate source but i went from recieving at least 6 unwanted messages a day,to recieving none.Every now and then i let one slip and hey presto more junk mail!!

Hotmail always did that to me too. I switched to Yahoo! and I've never been spammed since.

you think hotmail is bad?! you should try aol! you can't block the address and so you keep recieving that ****. and with aol you have to pay!!! but i do have the same problem with hotmail.
