    More problems with paypal

Paypal decided someone was using a
credit card fraudently to buy something
, and took the money out of the sellers
account after he shipped the merchandise.
So the seller was out both the money and the merchandise! See

Thanks, izzy. You posted the correct link just as I was about to start a search

Went there, there's a thread going on with a guy says he's PayPal Consumer Relations - member name: Paypaldamon.

    Here's the thread.

izzzy: yes it was your problem with PP
which made me post this thread to let you know your not alone! =)
socalgal: thanx for the great link.
to all: ActiveX has suggested that those
selling stuff, and being paid thru PP
wait 3 days before shipping to avoid credit card fraud. good suggestion IMHO. capybara

Ouch, that's a really sad story. It seems like the couple was just trying to do this fellow a favour but got backfired in the process? I would've definitely smelled something fishy going on there, and definitely wouldn't have done it, especially thru paypal as they've been pretty flaky.

I only use paypal for miniscule amounts, and never leave a balance in there, never ship items out until after 3 days later (to see if I get a phone call from paypal about a fraudulent transaction) if its from an unknown or unverified individual.

Convenience comes at a price, nothing is free. Be careful folks.

    I've sent email to MSNBC.COM @ World@MSNBC.com.

Anyone else had this problem, send them email too, lets make some racket!
