Dumb Question About I.E. 4.0

I.E. 4.0 installed with WIN98 o/s. I was getting a lot of page faults when I when I was browsing so I installed I.E. from a MSN CD. Now I'm not getting any more page faults but I don't like the search feature.

Is there any way to get rid of the MSN version and reinstall I.E. from the sytem disk or download it from MS web site?

You may be able to just reinstall IE4 standard version over the top of the MSN version. Just download it and give it a try. I am assuming that you don't have the Win98 CD any longer?

Thanks, TT. I tried installing over it but it didn't work. Someone sent me a reg file, however, so I have the search feature back.

The good news is since I reinstalled IE from the MSN disk, I haven't got any more page faults.
