ram...cheap
I bought a refurbished HP pavillion for a friend and it stated it had 48 mb of ram....when it arrived it only had 32 so to make a long story short HP sent me the missing ram.....one stick of 16mb and one stick of 32 mb...I do not need the 32 and seeing how it was free to me....make me an offer and pay for the shipping and you can have it...email me with any offers....codybear2@msn.com

Lemmie see.. it came with 32MB and you got a 16 and a 32MB DIMM shipped to you and you do not need the extra 32MB so you want to sell it cheap - what is wrong with this picture?
If you have a slot to put in a 16MB DIMM, giving a total of 48MB, then why would you not rather put (2)32Mb DIMMs for a total of 64MB of memory? Something seems berry, berry skrewy about dis

I tell you what cmonster...I sold a system for a good price and delivered what was paid for....if someone sold you a system you were reselling and the drive was missing and when they sent you the drive they sent two by mistake...would you then put two drives in it seeing how you have space??? Ya right
I called HP about the mistake and was told that it would cost more to return it in terms of paper work than for me to keep it....there are honest people in this world and in this forum and I for one do not appreciate you questioning my ethics or my honesty...enough said.....if you didnt want the ram then dont post nonsense like that

Codybear, thanks for the email and sorry if I offended you; I wasn't shopping in this forum, or interested in the RAM - I was directed to the post by someone else, and IO thought that they might have been tempted to make an offer themselves so I posted in such a way as to elicit a response from you that might clarify things somewhat (you will notice that I signed the post "Confused"). I absolutely hate rip-offs and I'm sure that you do also. I am not the trusting type and if something sounds too good to be ture it usually isn't - I thought maybe you had some ram that was marginal that you just wanted to get rid of.
Someone else from this BBS has emailed me on your behalf and vouched for your character so I feel a more than a little chided about now ...
I find it interesting that you feel I attacked your honesty though, I was just looking for a little more explanation because what you were saying didn't make good sense to me - obivously a system with 64MB or memory is better than one with 48MB - right?. So I was wondering why would you not rather give the extra memory to the system owner/customer as a bonus (especially since you say it was for a friend), and then sell (or give away) the 16MB DIMM instead? then your conscious would be clear and your customer would be happier as well.

thanks for the reply and I believe that I addressed the ram....48 was what was sold and so 48 was what they recieved so my concious is clear...they got what they expected and so I decided to sell the extra ram for little or nothing which i did...buisness is buisness and when you give what is expected you gain the respect of your customers...if I'd of gone to them and said hey look this is what happened I'm gonna give you the extra ram cuz I'm a nice guy...that would not benifit me in a buisness sense and most of what I do on the side is word of mouth and a cash buisness... maybe who they recommended to me would look for that little extra....and quite frankly it is none of thier buisness that I even got the 32...as far as they know I did what I said I would do...period!!.... I have very satisified people because they get exactly what was expected...might sound kinda crazy but for me it works and keeps my daughter in a private school......
