Post Are these prices for real???

I found this place while looking for a new celeron cpu. Strangely enough, the place just happens to be local for me. He just opened his store and does not have all of his inventory on his web site yet. But these are some of the cheapest prices I have found for CPU's and RAM. I am going to check him out this weekend. If anyone thinks his prices are good e-mail me and I'll let you know what I think about his store. I sure hope this guy is for real.

yeah.... these prices are GREAT! everthing has spectacular prices... the memory is one of the best prices i've seen in a long while...

the only drawback that i could possible foresee is that they get you on shipping.... you (or someone else) could go through an order almost all the way to figure out the shipping and then report back here.... just a suggestion...

though the prices are outstanding, definitely do check SK's shipping costs and at pricewatch (and other sites as well )...

    anywayz...

Wiz, this guy just opened this store and the web site. I talked to him on the phone about his web links. Seems he is also the web master for his site. Says he will have it up and running in a few days. Sounds like he is a 1 man band. I will try to get over to his store today and talk to him about his shipping prices and also check out the quality of some of his products. At least see if he is carrying brand name stuff. If you like the prices you could see, check back with him in a few days to see if he has corrected the dead-ended links.

    Question

What happened? Did he bite your dog? Why the sudden cold-shoulder? Your sudden change from insightful to requesting that the thread be closed deserves some explanation*.

    Warmest Regarards,

    Zotz Mein

*Beyond the implication that the guy is some kind of totally scum and that you may have discovered his secret villainous plan for getting rich quick from here today gone tomorrow net sales.

In such case you deserver to be lauded for revealing this evildoers malicious, seditious and surreptitious design to plunder our hard earned monies leaving us without funds for upgrades and new fancy fangled gadgets (I prefer the kind with buttons, knobs, levers and lots and lots of bright, colorful flashing lights).

Does seem kinda strange closing this thread????

As h2o suggested in his 1st post, I've just emailed him to find out what happened, and suggested that he post it here.

Thanks Ed_S. I posted this message because I thought this guy had pretty good prices.I thought all of you would like the opportunity to compare these prices to the others you have found. Didn't seem to get many questions about this until I decided to close the thread. No e-mail and only 2 inquiries. Sorry if it seemed rude to close the thread. Didn't think anyone was interested. Anyway, I was unable to get to his store this weekend. I have seen him at some local shows. But I don't know anything about the guy. I will try to go by his place in the next day or so. I will post my findings here as soon as possible. That is if socalgal leaves the post open for a few more days.

Good, glad I mailed you then!
His prices are great, many will be interested in this. Especially the shipping. When you DO go in, be sure & tell him about Sysopt, a good vendor would LOVE all (or even some) of our business. Nearly 7000 members should get his attention!

BTW, a thread is only closed (locked, actually) when something is wrong. Otherwise, it stays open indefinately. Have seem stuff nearly a year old get dredged up!

Thank you for the response and clarification. It’s greatly appreciated and goes along way to explaining your sudden request to close the thread.

    Thumbs down

Well i just called these guys and asked for shipping prices. 1 32mb stick $20.00 shipping. I then asked if i order more is the shipping still only $20 they said no it would be per piece. Well i get 32mb sticks for $32.00 at local shop so they make-up for low prices on shipping what a shame. Their is always a catch on low prices.

Well this place turned out NOT to be a Steal or a Deal. As carolinajoe said in his post, this place charges a lot for their shipping and handling. When I ask about their in-store prices they quoted me about the same amount as it would cost if I had it shipped. They are also very disorganized and don't seem to have a very good handle on their stock. If I were going to deal with these guys I would be very cautious. Of course this is all just my opinion. So what looked too good to be true turned out to be just that. Too bad!
