I called every location in the usa...
all out but a few in florida area , but none would ship to me directly, they all told me to call their ordering dept (distribution center) .The ordering dept told me that it is a discontinued item and that the price is set at regular price $ 89.99 if you ordered it through them at this time ... she then proceeded to let me know that I should wait till 12:00am 10/12/99 , that they would be changing their web price to their clearance price of $ 19.00.....
and they have tons of them...

Hmmm... that would be a good deal. Although it wouldn't be the same as the Media System 2000's I just bought (3 pc w/ sub, usually $170 at OM) for the same price. [img]/forum/smile.gif[/img]

I walked in, asked the guy if he could do a price check on the $169 set. He said he didn't think there was any sort of deal on them, only the 200s and the Sub for $1 (would I have loved to get a couple of those. [img]/forum/smile.gif[/img]). Still, he did the check for me, and did it again after he saw the price was $19. [img]/forum/smile.gif[/img] Then, he said they were all out of stock except the display model, so I bought the display model.

And that was all before my first class yesterday. [img]/forum/smile.gif[/img] Sure got the day off to a good start. [img]/forum/wink.gif[/img]

Hmmmmmmmm........I looked all over the site and even do a search about this JBL speaker, and I don't see nothing.. Is it just me or is it just you Msand9898 who's dreaming???????????

mykel: It was a closeout deal and they went FAST! Except for some possibly remote Office Max in Siberia or something, these speakers are no longer in stock in any OM, nor will they be any longer, due to the closeout nature of the deal. If you've missed it, you've missed it - but keep your eyes peeled for future deals. There's always one right around the corner.

I did find them on their site Tue the 12th. They called after I ordered and said they were on back order and they would be sent within the next two weeks. I ordered 2 sets for $19 each + S&H :-)

Can't wait.

BTW I tried the same link again and nothing was listed anymore... check for yourself
