Compare Vendor Pricing
I got this from CNET, and it seems to be a great idea.. (Haven't tried it yet - am downloading it)

CLICK THE BUTTON

License: Freeware
Minimum requirements: Windows 95/98/NT 4.0
It happens to all of us: you plunk down big bucks for that hot new piece
of hardware, only to find out later that you could have paid less
somewhere else. While you can't eliminate such frustrations completely,
you can greatly reduce the possibility with Click the Button. Whenever
you find something online that you would like to buy, such as
electronics, computer-related items, books, or CDs, Click the Button will
serve up a comparison list of prices from a variety of vendors. Best of
all, Click the Button is now powered by CNET to bring you the lowest
prices on more than 130,000 computer-related products. Great deals are
just a click away:

I looked through the participating list of vendors, and notably www.pricewatch.com wasn't listed, as probably someone's favorites also, but vendors can be added.
This appears to be a good way to get an idea of different prices online.
Best of all, it's Freeware
~~Edit: here's a demo page, doesn't seem to be as comprehensive as pricewatch, just another way to compare.
