How can I make a quicklaunch toolbar icon
that will open an additional IE window with a specific target---target would be Google, this is the target location for IE's quicklaunch ["C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"] how do/can I do this???
Wait maybe this is it? (never attempted this before)
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

You're not gonna believe how easy this is...
If Google is in your "Favorites" folder, right-click drag it onto the Quicklaunch toolbar, and select copy here.
Alternately, you can just right click on your desktop, select New>Shortcut and put http://www.google.com/ in the Command Line. Drag that new shortcut onto the Quicklaunch toolbar.
I've got two custom toolbars with nothing but links to my "Favorite" websites.... each one launches a new instance of IE as long as "reuse windows for launching shortcuts" is unchecked in Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.

You can also download the new Google IE toolbar. If you already have IE loaded you can simply search google from your browser without going to the site first. I just found this today and it's awesome. Just search for something - the toolbar install link is at the bottom of the page.
I don't know if it works with Netscape though...couldn't care less actually.
