    VBS virus info needed

    Members,
I am trying to learn more about VBS virus'. I don't use Outlook Express personally, so I have no personal experience with it.
Is it possible for a VBS virus to trigger without opening an attachment. By that, I mean, by merely opening and reading the email in Outlook Express?
If so, what are the names of some of these virus'?

Technically, this one does. It is VBS/Netlog.worm.a which travels through network shares to infect computers. It will copy itself into the startup folder(s) so it can infect the new PC at its next startup.

Then there is DUNpws.bp which is a variant of the above virus. This sends out some password information though.

There are others like the W95/Firkin.worm which spreads through shares as well but it's not VBS based.

There are other VBS variants that can infect your computer by just looking at the message through the preview pane in Outlook Express (using an ActiveX component)..

    VBS/Godzilla@M
    VBS/Bubbleboy@MM
    VBS/Tam@M
    JS/Kak@M

There are probably more but these are some more commonly known ones.
