Win 98 only sees 472MB of my 4.3 gig HD !!!!!!

This is a new build, and I'm new to building. Win 98 only thinks I have a 472 meg hard disk. The bios seems to think it is the right size. I'm also running Norton on the machine and it knows I have a 4 gigger. Any ideas on how to fix this? Why it happened? I've surfed all over the $#^#%% web and it looks like a wall I can't get over by myself. Thanks for any suggestions or comments which might aid in my understanding.

Hmmm... My first thought is that you might only have one partition that is 472 megs. Try using Fdisk (be very careful here) and create an extended partiton.

At the very least just go into fdisk and see what it says about the drive.

First check settings in BIOS ( if correct ).
Some BIOS is limited with size or tracks & sectors of the drive. If you have other computer with WIN98 try to create FAT32 partition using that other system.
