Lightbulb Way to make Windows icon lettering transparent?

I know there's some reg. hack or program that can do this so I don't have to worry about my background color matching my desktop wallpaper in Windows. Thanks.

    Cool

first of all, download this (4kb) , then if you dont have it, you will need to download VB40032.dll .

    hope this helps.

To create an icon with no name attached:

    Make sure NumLock is on
Highlight the Icon you want to change
    Right-Mouse click and select Rename
While holding down the Alt key, type 0160
Now the icon will have no name below it.
To Create Multiple Icons with No Name - From John R.

    Follow directions detailed above
With the second icon simply add one space-bar character AFTER
    the 0160 number.
Each successive icon gets an additional space-bar character at
the end (to prevent a duplicate naming error).

    Cheers!

There are two really good programs that I use for this and other purposes. Both can be found at http://www.downloads.com.
    1. Desktop Architect - A much better theme manager than Microshaft could have ever came up with and freeware to boot.
    2. E-Icons - An Icon manager that allows iconic themes to be used.

Try 'em and I think , no I know that you'll like 'em.
