USB disk drives and Win2K
Just curious but...
I have a tray icon w/ Win 2K that tells me I may damage my disk (16MB Flash card in a Sandisk card reader) whenever I eject it (pull it out) without using the tray icon to let win2K know and prepare for its removal. Is this something to worry about? When I go through the motions of doing this, I have to reboot to get my device back because it disappears from my compoter. Thanks
I would think about seeing if you have to get a upgrade of the driver software. But I have these USB devices too. They don't seem to work all that well under Win2K. I think that USB is still pretty flakey with Win2K.
I just pull the plug and test it out to see what happens without using the tray icon disconnect Icon. Try it out "as a test" to see how things work. With USB there should never be a reboot! EVER!!!!
That is how USB devices should act...
