    Lightbulb Booting from a jaz drive?????

    anyone know if it is possible to install win2k to a jazz drive and boot from it? kyle

    I'm pretty sure that you won't even be able to install Win2K on the Jazz diskette. I doubt that the Jazz disk partition will even show as an option to install to in the Win2K installation screen.

    I've installed a number of OS's to boot from a Jaz disk. I haven't tried W2K, but NT works just fine, so I would imagine that W2K should work just as well. The only trick is the computer must be set to boot from the Jaz drive. I'll assume you've got a SCSI drive and not some other type.

    Let me know if you want more info. I have an eval copy of W2K, I might try it myself sometime, just to see if it really works.

    Its a scsi drive, and it shows up in the install screen, i have tried but i think its getting confused trying to boot from different devices, i am starting to get confused too
