    Question Add/Remove Programs In Win98(SE)

Okay I should know this...but how do you
get rid of programs that are listed in
the Add/Remove Programs list in the Control
Panel...when the program itself along with
the Uninstal program have already been
deleted from the hard drive ???

    Cool

Install and use TweakUI or go digging in the registry.

if you will surf over to zdnet.com and go to there hotfiles site. you will find a program.
    under the utilities section.

called add/remove cleaner. it will do what you are asking for.

Thanks a bunch...went to ZD-Net and found the
    program...also found these directions which
helped a bunch...didn't have to wander the
    registry...quick and easy...thanks again...

To clean up the list, you'll have to use the Registry Editor. Launch REGEDIT.EXE from the Start menu's Run command and navigate to the key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall
