Notice the name it fills in the name box. Then do a search for *.pwl files. Delete the file <name in the name box>.pwl . Reboot. In login prompt, enter something for the name, and make sure you leave password field blank. Press "ok". Now it shouldn't prompt you again.

also, if you are not comfortable with deleting files, then you can just do this...

Automatic Logon without Name or Password:

This setting allows Windows clients to logon without entering a user name or password, therefore bypassing the logon box.

    1. Using Regedit, open the key below.

    2. Create a new String Value, and name it 'Default Password'.

    3. Modify the data of 'Default Password' to match the default users password.

The default username is stored at:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon] - Username

    4. Reboot and the system should automatically logon.

Note: The password is stored in clear text, therefore anyone with access to the registry can see the default password!

    Registry Settings:
    Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Winlogon]
    Value Name: Default Password
    Data Type: REG_SZ

    <quoted from RegEdit.com>
but be sure that you are comfortable in the registry... using this edit, there can be no damage to your system, so you need not worry of it if you do use it... and it will bypass your logon screen...

and if you have no password (like i am assuming) then just enter nothing under the "default password" string... IOW, just leave it blank...

well, i hope that this may have informed atleast someone on how to bypass the logon screen... and BTW, it does the same thing as deleting the *.pwd file, except it is the puter doing it, so it is a little safer...

    anywayz...

    Thumbs up

Problem Solved! I removed my TCP/IP from Control Panel/Network. This also removed Microsoft Client. I then rebooted and was not prompted for a password. I reinstalled Microsoft Client (cause I needed it) rebooted again and no password prompt!!

    Problem Solved!!

Thanks to all who helped out!!
