Never thought Id be asking for help for my HW here but....
I need an artical from a site that compares and contrasts Windows9x and Linux (any dist, or as a whole) in any ways. We basically have to get an artical that compares the different aspects of each. Anyone know a site that would have this, because all my bookmarks are hardware sites..Thanks
BTW its due tommora(the artical) so if you see this thread a couple days letter, theres no need to reply to it. Thanks again.

What is using Linux actually like? How does it compare with Windows? Can it do things that Windows can't, or do them better? We asked two Slate colleagues to try Linux and give us a report. One, our Redmond-based chief program manager, Andrew Shuman, is a professional computer geek with a degree in computer science and RAM and ROM up the wazoo. The other, our New York-based staff writer, Eliza Truitt, is a fully developed human being who is competent with computers but not devoted to them.
Slate is published by Microsoft, of course, so take that into account as you read the following dispatches.
AuraEdge, I didn't read this article but only saw the words I bolded above.
Hope this gives you someplace to start, and good luck with your article!

Thanks for the fast reply!
This is a good article, but i was looking for more of a professional article, other than an opionized article.
Nonetheless, this article was very informative just the first few seconds I read it.

Check that out, its from the October Issue of PC World. It talks about Windows current and future and then talks about their competitors , Linux, BeOS, and MacOS. Here is the breif overview of the article (right under the link):
"Can anyone stay in the operating system arena with champion grappler Microsoft? Grab a ringside seat as we preview the Battle in Seattle--a no-holds-barred match pitting Bill Gates' tag-team OSs against challengers from Linux, Be, and Mac."
I hope this helps some.

I got a DING in my head and remembered thatmag about 3 hours ago
I searched thru my unsorted piles of magizines, found it, dogeared the page, and shoved it in my book bag.
Thanks for the heads up anyways!
I got what I need!

She freaked when someone in class did that to one comp and didnt know what to do.
I said I could fix em and she gave me some extra credit points for it.
And now she just argues about her compaq and the half-arsed tech support they give.
