No Sound in Win98
This is crazy. No X's or !'s in device manager. No conflicts. But, something seems to be using my sound card. No system sounds, no sound on videos, nothing.
When I warm boot, I see nothing but explorer and systray, nothing else. All I get is the "white noise" like in the background from the speakers.
I had this problem months ago when they installed my nic. I feel so stupid, but I can't remember how I got rid of this problem. Wish I could...
Can anyone out there help me? Everything else SEEMS to be working fine. Have tried msconfig to bypass my autoexec, then config.sys, then both. Nothing seems to help.
Thank you for any help in advance...
