RH 6.0 startup probs
i finally got red hat 6.0 installed on and old pentium machine. it installed fine (from what i could tell) and it restarted the computer when it got done installing all the files. but when it started back up again, it goes thru the bootup process to the point where it boots up the OS from the hard drive and the only thing that comes up is:
LI
and then it just stops. is there any way to fix this or do i just need to reinstall or what? I'm brand new to linux so if anyone can help me, i would appreciate it if you can dumb it down for me
thanx!

If you have a custom boot disk like you were prompted to make during the installation, then simply boot from that & re-install LILO using linuxconf.
However, if you didn't make the disk, then use the DOS program RAWRITE on the RH6 CD (located in X:\dosutils\rawrite.exe) to make a simalar one with the disk image X:\images\rescue.img. Then use that one in conjunction with the setup boot floppy (image @ X:\images\boot.img if you don't have one), and you're ready to go.

ok - i booted up the rescue disk, and i get to a prompt like this:
#_
i tried typing in linuxconf, but it said
linuxconf: not found
i tried a bunch of other stuff, but cant do anything or get around at all. what am i doing wrong?
