    windows98 and my harddrive

I have a Dell dimension XPS450R, and in order to get my USB to I had to Uninstall Windows and re-install, all of that went o.k. But know when I open my computer it says I've used only 800 or so MB, but if I go into Windows Explorer all the files are still there from before the un-install is there any way to get my hard drive to read the correct used and freespace? thanks in advanced.

Use Scandisk or Norton Disk Doctor to fix it. I have 10gig HD and it when I install programs they show 2gig free. But well it doesn't bothers me and it is fixed easily.

Pantion, I did the scandisk and it still says that I used 860mb and before the re-install there was 2gb of used space. And while I was in MSCONFIG there is nothing in my CONFIG.SYS I know there was something there before the re-install
