RedHat ISO

okay I found a copy of RedHat ISO at:

ftp://ftp.linuxberg.com/.3/RedHat/RedHat-6.0-ISO/

I read the readme of downloading the file: redhat60bin.iso and been carefull to download it as binary file. As well as the instructions for burning it correctly with EasyCD.

The question is that after burning this will be a bootable cd? I will be able to access it through either win9x, nt, linux, etc. or not?

To make a bootable CD you must use the ISO9660 format with the bootable option checked.

You should use a CD-R that will do "Disk at once" so the ISO comes out as it's original pressing.

I almost hate to mention it, but RedHat 6.1 ISO images are available now. The official release date is tomorrow (monday) but if you look at www.slashdot.org they have some locations where it is already available.

From my experience, burning an ISO from EasyCD is, well, easy. Just pick "Create CD from image" and go. I usually just load up Disk Copier (comes with EasyCD) and select an Image file as the source, but either way works. It should be bootable, but it depends on the original ISO file. You can look at the disc from Windows, but there is not much you can do from there.
