    Video cards in linux

    What would be the best choice and why....the G400...not the max i don't think...the one right under the max.......the TNT2 or the voodoo3 to run under Linux....i want to play quake3 and run things like enlightenment.

    The V3 2000 & 3000 run well under Linux, not sure about the rest.

    I don't believe the G400 has an X server out yet. I wouldn't expect it to take too long since Matrox hardware support usually gets pretty fast action.

    As for the TNT-2, check Nvidia's site under drivers. I think they link to one.

    Here is the site for the Gx00 linux driver development.

    Here is a driver page for the Nvidia cards. It states that the TNT2 driver isn't available yet. But I remember reading somewhere that it was.

    So all three cards basically have linux support.
