Phone number to test modem line
Hi,
I don't know if it still exist, but apprently there a phone number you can dial in with your modem and it detect if there's a problem with the phone line. I used to have it many years ago, but lose it as i moved places. Can anyone post that phone number, and if its an regional call or 800 number.?

kgb, the 847 number listed above is correct, but you need additional information for the test. Here is the link to the USR-3COM line test site. This test works with most modems:
