    Linux on a PC CHIPS M599 MOBO?

    Does anyone know if any popular versions of linux can run (including Xfree86 or some other GUI) on this motherboard? It has integrated video and uses a SiS 530 Chip for AGP video. Please help me out as I`m new to Linux. THANKS!

    Try one. If Linux can run on a laptop, theres no reason it shouldn't run on a motherboard with onboard stuff. Now, if the motherboard has an onboard modem, then it most likely will not ba able to use it, due to it being a winmodem.

    But things such as onboard video & LAN usually work without too much buggering around.
