    Win98 SE Scandisk allways runs??

After installing Windows 98 SE, 9 Times out of 10 Scandisk runs when I restart.

No a massive problem but it a pain in the ***. Any ideas what wrong/how to solve it?

    Thanks for all input.

it sounds like windows isnt shutting down properly, or not unloading everything, so win98 automatically runs scandisk to make sure there is nothing wrong with your hard drive.....
i dont know how to make it shut down properly, but i can help you get rid of the annoying scandisk..
go to RUN and type in MSCONFIG and click OK. click on ADVANCED and click the box that says DISABLE SCANDISK AFTER BAD SHUTDOWN. this should keep it from running when you restart all the time. you should probably figure out what is wrong with windows, tho, when it is shutting down - it cant be very helpful.....
