Anyone wana send Linux to Mexico?

Hey anybody wana send a copy of RedHat 6.0?

Got an oldie Slackware and a friend wants RedHat. I can send a CD and anyone that could burn it and send it back will be really appreciated. And if you can the whole RedHat CD package would be more than pefect.

    Just email me at: marcoantonio@email.com

If you have access toa CD Burner, I could give you a copy of the Red Hat 6.0 ISO. But it would be a big download. I'm afraid I can't help you out with what you were talking about.

Have you checked at any local colleges/universities/computer stores yet? You could probably get a copy there for REALLY cheap. Say $3 US.

Mail me if you want the CD-Image

Dominus - What burner(s) do you use? I got the ISO and an HP 7200. But it won't create bootable RH 6 cds. I'm forced to do ftp installs.

I'm using an HP8110i burner and I just burned two *.iso CDs for Sparc Linux that I had no trouble booting the Sun boxes with. I used a Win95B OS to DL and burn the Linux disk for a Sun running Solaris7 That's a weird mish mash of OS's that should have been some kind of trouble, but it worked great the first time.

    Perhaps your CDROM isn't bootable?

Pantion Did you hit CheapBytes website yet?

I'll burn you a copy of Redhat 6.0 for two new CD-RW disks and I'll send two CDRs in return (in case one fails or gets damaged).

I have a HP8100i and I can burn bootable CDs fine. Virus, did you know that there is a DOS program in the Red Hat CD that can make floppy boot disks? No difference really from an FTP install, but it's possible if you don't have a bigass net connection handy when installing.

I did try using the boot disk to do a install off of that cd. If I remember right, it just crashed after accessing the cd. I thing I just have a bad iso image.

I had to use my cable pipe to install rh 6.0. The only problem there is that it is already overloaded with the rc5 pproxy traffic.

I find ftp.cdrom.com a little slow. If you need to do an FTP install try sunsite.unc.edu or metalab.unc.edu. I was averaging 60K/s today.
