Caldera Linux and HP printer
Hello,
It has been some time now since I installed OpenLinux 2.2 and now I have finally gotten around to printing - basically I have discovered that printer support seems to be severely lacking.
I have an HP Deskjet 812C and no driver for it - all the other drivers for HP deskjet that are available on OL2.2 churn out about 50 pages of garbage!!
On a brighter note, the HP Deskjet600 driver in Word Perfect 8.0 (for Linux) works just fine...
so what I am asking is if you have an HP Deskjet 810 - 812 and it works in Linux, please tell me where to get a driver..
Other than that, I'm cool with Linux
Thanks,
George

Have you checked www.hp.com? I've been looking at this printer and thinking about getting it sometime, but if it can't handle Linux, I doubt I will.

Yeah, I have been all over the HP site with no luck so far. I may try a few other things with the parallel port but I shouldn't have to because it works just fine in Windows.
